St. Monica and St. James maintains a strong liturgical heritage based on more than 130 years of parish history. Today, High Mass on Sunday morning and celebration of the Eucharist in daily services continue to be the spiritual food of the congregation. These shared liturgical experiences bind us to God and to one another. Sunday worship invokes all the senses through words that have come down through the ages, incense, and glorious music.

Our community uses the rich liturgical tradition found in the Anglican Missal.  The Low Mass on weekdays, and at 8 am on Sunday, use the Anglican Missal.  The Solemn High Mass at 10 am on Sunday is composed of modified Book of Common Prayer Rite I with Anglican Missal insertions.
